--smush-placeholder-aspect-ratio: 2560\/1707;\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Factors such as autonomy, clear goals and being appreciated and acknowledged for their work were most important to employees.<\/p>\n<p>More than half of the employees surveyed said they\u2019re actively searching for a new job, and 53% told Gallup that now is a good time to look for a new job \u2014 8% higher than last year\u2019s results.<\/p>\n<p>These stats show that \u201cdeeply unhappy workers are able to leave bad workplaces\u201d in order to find a job they actually enjoy.<\/p>\n<p>The report said leaders at work need to know that high engagement doesn\u2019t equate to happiness and to engage with their employees to ensure they are fulfilled at work.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cTrue engagement means your people are psychologically present to do their work. They understand what to do; they have what they need; and they have a supportive manager and a supportive team. They know why their work matters.
